The town of Agia Marina is located in the North-Oves part of the island of Crete. It boasts beautiful beaches of golden sand that follow one another. On the west side, near the port of Platania, we meet many small artificial jetties where you can swim. On the east side there is a long sandy beach that extends to Stalos.
The beach of Agia Marina is a long stretch of sandy beach, equipped with sun beds and umbrellas at reasonable prices, sometimes free if you eat something at the bar. In some places there is also the possibility to rent equipment to practice water sports.
It is often windy, like all Greece, on the other hand .. But if the sea is calm, the water is clear and very hot, so it is also suitable for children.
We advise you to visit it in the morning, as in the afternoon you risk finding more crowds, being a very comfortable beach to reach.
