Kira Panagia Beach

Kira Panagia beach is located in the middle of the east coast of the island of Karpathos, about 15 kilometers north of Pigadia. It is considered a small corner of paradise and is among the most photographed beaches on the island, especially from the terrace of the now famous church with a red roof, which offers a spectacular view of the beach. To get here you will have to climb the staircase located at the bottom of the beach, on its right looking at the sea.

Kira Panagia beach can be easily reached by car, following the signs. The car can be parked right near the beach (certainly the sooner you arrive, the closer you will be to the sea).

What can you admire and what does Kira Panagia beach offer?

Panagia beach is a small inlet set between the rocks, with crystal clear water, with infinite emerald shades and shining gray pebbles. It is characterized by a wild look that makes it even more magical! The beach of Kira Panagia has a semi circular shape and is surrounded by imposing white cliffs thus creating a spectacular scenery. On both sides of the beach there are splendid rock and cavity formations where you can venture to find out what's inside.

The beach is equipped with sun beds and umbrellas for only € 8 per day, behind it offers 2 excellent taverns with a terrace overlooking the sea and excellent fish and Greek food, it also grants accommodation, beach bars, showers, changing rooms and mini markets. The streets of Kira Panagia are teeming with multiple types of flowers, such as oleanders, bougainvillea and geraniums. Their perfumes give a feeling of unique pleasure!

The beach of Kira Panagia is the most loved bay not only by tourists but also by the Greeks, in fact if you decide to visit it on Saturday or Sunday, the main days when local people decide to go there, know that it will not be easy at all for you find a secluded place to relax in the best way: here the Greeks come with the whole family to enjoy a well-deserved rest.

If you love snorkeling it is the perfect place for you! Here there are plenty of fish and various types and colors.

When it's windy, it remains more sheltered than other beaches, thanks to the high mountains that surround it, so don't worry about that either!
