Embros Thermae is a natural hot water spa, which over the years has become one of the most appreciated by tourists on the island of Kos.

It counts several visitors a year, each of whom has a different reason to go to this particular place: those who come to take advantage of the therapeutic benefits of water, some for a relaxing massage, some for a day at the beach and some for curiosity.

The small beach is surrounded by very high cliffs, rocks, black pebbles and some goats here and there, intent on climbing the rocky wall in search of some crunchy shrub to munch on.

The Embros Thermae were created by volcanic eruptions of millions of years ago and its water is overheated by the hydrologically semi-active volcano of the island of Nissyros that you can go to visit on a daily excursion, starting from Kardamena.

Potassium, Calcium, Magnesium, Sulfur and Sodium: these are the elements that make up the waters of Embros Thermae. Elements that together help in the treatment of arthritis and rheumatism and also give very important nutritional properties to the skin, even of the little ones.

We do not promise you that you will come out with very fragrant skin ... but for sure you will have a super-soft skin, to envy the best moisturizers!

The hot springs emerge from the cracks of the rocks and join the fresh water of the sea of the island of Kos and the temperatures generated by this mixture range between 30 and 40.. grades and sometimes even 45!

When you arrive you will notice the enchanting landscape that will appear in front of you. A true spectacle of nature! This evocative place, besides giving you "cures", offers a sweet scenery for your eyes: in fact, the ring of rocks that surrounds it and the high cliffs behind it will seem to hug you!

The Embros Thermae are perfect to reach in the evening if you are looking for a romantic evening in the moonlight and ... many stars!

To reach them you can decide to park in the highest part where there is a large parking lot and go down on foot or riding some nice donkeys (during the day), or you can safely get off with the car up to sea level so that with only 100 meters of walk you will already be arrived. The road to go down is certainly rather steep, but feasible even with a very simple Panda ... and then you will have before you a crazy show during the descent!

A simple flip-flop is more than enough and once you reach your destination, immerse yourself in these hot sulphurous waters, but try to avoid the source because the closer you get to it, the more the water gets really hot!
