Italida beach, also known as Platìa Punda beach, is located on the southeastern coast of Koufonissi, just after the beautiful Fanos beach.

How is Italida beach?

Such is the beauty of this beach that there are no words to describe it. The crystal clear water has all shades of turquoise and blue. The fine sand alternates at times with the dunes that give it a characteristic and wild appearance, thanks also to the barren vegetation that surrounds it.

The sandy bottom is a bit deeper than the other beaches on the island, ideal for a refreshing swim and snorkelling. For its beauty and its wild aspect, the Italida beach is very popular and also frequented by naturalists.

How to get to Italida beach

As already mentioned it is very close to Fanos beach, so it is easy to reach from Chora on foot or by bike. You will find spectacular coves along the way, which will shelter you in case of strong wind. Alternatively, you can reach Italida beach with a taxiboat that runs every 30 minutes and costs € 5 round trip.

Our advice

As there are usually several naturalists who practice nudism, it is less recommended for families with small children and for those who are bothered by this practice.

Italida beach is not equipped, but if you want to have a drink or something to eat, a short distance away you will find a bar / tavern located behind Fanos beach.

In the high season it could be a bit crowded, so we advise you to arrive early in the morning or late afternoon, to fully appreciate its splendor and maybe stop until sunset to admire the various shades that change during the day.

Whenever you decide to visit Italida beach, it will fill your eyes and heart right from the first glance .. and it will be love at first sight!
