The Sand Museum, is located in the capital of the island of Milos, Plaka. It is a curious place where there are bowls and trays with sand of different colors and shapes, coming from various beaches from which they have been collected with great care. The place is quite interesting, seen from the outside and looks like a shop with a particular atmosphere and inside an artist works and collects sand to create magnificent works!
Here you can observe the sand under the microscope and admire the collection of the artist who is actually a geologist from Thessaloniki. This man with so much effort has set up a particular sand workshop! The geologist had understood that the island of Milos was unmatched and full of out-of-the-ordinary attractions, so he decided to add another attraction even more characteristic ... and add one of a kind! The geologist besides studying and collecting samples, uses them to create sand sculptures, making this a real art! Think of a geologist and a sculptor in the same person who can design marvels. The most beautiful thing is that this person fundamentally does not make a profit on his passion, in fact the entrance is free and open to all. What it produces does with the heart and you will notice it immediately!Enjoy all of Milos and don't miss this quaint museum; you will see the sand as you have never seen it before and you will know a man who was able to put together the job he specialized in with his greatest passion! People and places like this are hard to find in the world, so run and visit it!
