Here we are on the beautiful beach of Aliki, on the south coast of the island of Paros. Aliki is the beach of the small village of the same name, known for its romantic marina.Aliki beach is a long strip of sand mixed with pebbles, sheltered from the wind, with a transparent sea that leaves you speechless. The water is shallow for several meters and allows the little ones to play safely on the shore, while the adults relax in the sun.The central part of the beach offers two establishments where with a drink, you can have sun beds and umbrella for free.If you prefer less crowded places, move to the sides of Aliki beach, which are not equipped and take shelter in the shade of tamarisk trees. Here relaxation is assured! For those who love walking, move to the right of the beach and climb the promontory through the path among the rocks, the effort will be rewarded by the wonderful panorama that you can admire once you reach the top. After the long walk you may have an appetite .. but don't worry! On Aliki's seafront there are fish taverns and restaurants offering excellent dishes at moderate prices. Just a couple of them: Hello Mango and Restaurant Alyki, come and discover them ..Continue Aliki's visit with the Cycladic Folklore Museum. In this interesting museum you will find out a lot about Greek culture. The explanations full of curious anecdotes and the passion of the artist Benetos Skiadas will make you fall in love with this magical location.
To reach Aliki beach by car or scooter, simply cross the center of the village, up to the port (we are 14 km from Parikia, therefore 20 minutes by car). Once you arrive you can leave your vehicle in the convenient adjacent parking. It can also be easily reached with the bus that stops a short distance from the beach.
Despite being a very quiet location and Aliki there are several mostly religious festivals, related to folklore and local tradition. Like the feast of San Giovanni di Klidonas in June, with fireworks, the feast of Christ the Savior on August 6 and the feast of Santa Croce on September 14 with traditional specialties, dances and popular songs. Aliki, like all of Greece, is very attached to its traditions. You can take advantage of one of these events to organize your holiday in Paros and enjoy the real Greek atmosphere!
