Psili Ammos Beach

Description

Psili Ammos beach, considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the Aegean, is located 10 km south-west of Chora, the capital of the island of Patmos.
Its name means "fine sand" and, although it can be very busy at certain times and times, it still retains its wild character that makes it unique.

It is not easy to reach: often, due to the north-west winds to which it is exposed, the caique that connects it to the port of Skala does not dock there, leaving it almost completely isolated.
However, it can also be reached by walking along the panoramic path that leads to the beach. From there you will see the time to get there!

You will find yourself in front of a picturesque den with gold sand and vast dunes along with many tamarisks where you can shelter from the sun.

The crystal clear blue water is the main attraction of Psili Ammos beach!

Because of its strong religious origins, nudism is not completely accepted. Nowadays many things have changed with the growth of tourism and naturists usually go to the south of the beach.
