Velanio Beach is located just 1.5 kilometers north of the capital, on the east side of the south coast of the island of Skopelos. It is a beach completely protected from the winds, it is one of the prettiest beaches in Skopelos, characterized by a coast of golden sand bathed by calm and crystalline waters, ideal for a nice swim!Velanio beach is surrounded by mountains and pine forests. It is both equipped and free, there are many traits left to their natural and wild beauty!Expect to see some nudists as it is the only official beach in which to practice nudism.Above the beach there are also archaeological finds that are presumed to be the ruins of the palace of the Minoan king Stafilos. We absolutely recommend the visit! It is easily accessible via a path that starts from the end of Stafilos. The latter is very close and is in fact separated from Velanio by a rocky promontory. Following the path it will take you no more than 10 minutes to reach this beautiful bay!If you decide to stay until the evening, we suggest you go to the tavern near the parking lot where, while you dine, you can enjoy a fantastic view at sunset!
